Beours Dyke Bar Night
Description
An account of the resource
BEOURS is a regular, private pub night for lesbian and other women in the heart of Cork city, Ireland. Our first gathering was on 4th December 2018. We meet on the 3rd Saturday of every month.
Where did we get our name?
Beours (pronounced BEE-OARS) is originally a Mincéir or Irish Traveller word and is now commonly used around Cork and other parts of Ireland to mean woman. It is generally used with affection.
Our pub nights are just that- a night in the pub. We gather for a chat, a few drinks and a bit of "craic" in a women-only bar.
