[The Hirschfield Centre is named after Magnus Hirschfield, a pioneering sexologist who championed homosexual emancipation in Germany in the early 20th century. Officially opened its doors on March 17th 1979. Not only was it a headquarters for the National Gay Federation (NGF), but the Hirschfield Centre housed a disco (Flikkers), a cinema, telephone befriending service (Tel-A-Friend), secretariat of the International Gay Association, a support service for parents of homosexuals (Parents Enquiry) and a café.]
Two video screening dates listed: Monday 20th January, 8pm, and Monday 3rd February, 8pm. Repeated screenings on 17 February and 3 March. Year not stated. Notes that "videos tapes were provided to G.H.A [Gay Health Action] by Glen and John from the Shanti Project San Francisco when they were in Ireland to set up Cairde. The tapes are supplied by the AIDS Foundation and the Health Dept, San Francisco." Poster addressed 10 Fownes Street, Dublin 2, and 24 Sullivan's Quay, Cork.
