An evaluation report on an AIDS Prevention Initiative by AIDS Help West Outreach to a public sex 'cruising' area in Galway. Outreach project was carried out by an AIDS Help West Outreach worker from May to December 1994. First page provides a summary and findings. Notes that "there is a need for HIV prevention work to the 'cruising scene, that the MESMAC [an English AIDS organisation] model of Outreach is applicable in Galway, and is efficacious as a tool in the prevention of HIV transmission." Second page provides information about background and services. "AIDS Help West was founded in Galway in 1987." Third page discusses the Outreach Project and its aims. Provides information about the MESMAC model. Fourth page discusses methodology. Fifth pages discusses results: extent of cruising, Outreach contacts, Risk of HIV transmission, Ages (perceived) of men contacted, Nationality of contacts, Contact with agencies, Acceptance of condoms and lubricant.
