Mentions about medical experts speaking of "an increasing HIV reservoir". Subheading is entitled "Sexual Roulette" and corresponds with an image displayed above of a Revolver (gun) and bullets. References Dr James Walsh, the National AIDS Co-ordinator, and his claims about the 90% success rate of condoms in the prevention of sexual disease. Second page is a "Voice of Youth from the Rialto area". Subsections entitled "The Little Person", "My Trinity", and "Memories of a Special Friend" by Audrey Quirke. Column on lefthand side of page is a poem entitled "Drugs" and is an alphabetical list, from A to Z, of what each letter represents. For example, "A is for AIDS which is not only caught in the head. B is for blow which wrecks your head." Third page contains a poem about homophobia called "Understanding". Editorial Comment discusses the Eastern Health Board's actions to tackle the struggles inner-city communities face with the continuing drug problems, HIV problems and AIDS-related illnesses and deaths. States that "Community Response welcome this change, but let us remind ourselves that you cannot develop Perestroika without beginning with a Glasnost ie openness." Also contains a mini-article on underage drinking entitled "On the Bottle" and an advertisement for a "Recall Conference" by Community Response for local South Inner-City Dublin communities to devise action plans for tackling the drugs/HIV problem in January 1992. Request to contact Michael Lacey, EHB, HC, Castle Street. Fourth page contains an article about Usher's Island, an outline of Drug Slang, a mini-article about video games entitled "Video Machines, Fruit Machine addicts" and "Coming Shortly" segment about articles to do with off-licenses selling alcohol to young children, and the growing concern at the excessive costs of funerals.
