Dominic Whyte was a Cork gay activist.

Dominic was born in Sligo in 1965.

He moved to Cork to study Microbiology.

Dominc worked with the telephone helpline Gay Information Cork. He was involved in HIV/AIDS activism. He sourced some of the earliest funding from the HSE (Health Services Executive) for the development of the telephone helpline and its work on HIV prevention. He later worked as a Disease Surveillance Scientist with the Health Protection Surveillance Centre. Dominic died in 2009.
