A photograph of the sign over the door of the Other Place LGBT Community Centre on corner of Augustine Street and South Main Street Cork, opened 1991, closed 2015. The Other Place provided a safe space and services for the LGBT community. Weekly discos and social events were held in the centre; there was a café, meeting spaces, a bookshop, resource centre and offices.
