Description
Munster LCGN (Lesbian & Gay Community News) was a four page supplement to the Irish GCN (Gay Community News) newspaper. It was produced in The Other Place LGBT Resource Centre in Cork in the 1990s. It was a Wrap Around, placed on the outside, of GCN in Munster and was an insert in the newspaper in the rest of the country.
The October 1993 (1) LGCN issue contains articles about: 'Stop the Nazi' fascist historian invited to speak at UCC, Lesbian and gay film festivals - why bother?, safe sapphics, tips for cutie-cles, Munster diary, 3rd Irish Lesbian and Gay Film festival 8th-10th October 1993 with films including; For a lost soldier, The wedding banquet, Last call at Maud's, Feed them to the cannibals, Mala Noche, Savage Nights, Rules of the road, The dead boys' club, Thank god I'm a lesbian, Claire of the moon. and advertisements such as; Loafers bar, The woodland gallery, Amazonia Bed and Breakfast, The Quay Co-op, Waterstones bookshop, AIDS Alliance Cork, The other place café, Mont Bretia Bed and Breakfast.
