A photograph of Cork Gay Collective members, David O Connor and Laurie Steele with two other people standing by the river across from the Quay Co-op on Sullivan's Quay during the renovation of the Quay Co-op prior to its opening in May 1982. The building was in poor repair and the work of renovating it was done by community activists. The Quay Co-op housed a vegetarian cafe, food co-op, bookshop, meeting rooms and a Women's Place.
