Konrad Im is a Cork LGBT+ activist and community worker.

Konrad was born in 1989 and is from Ballyphehane, Cork.

In 2015 Konrad won the title of Mr. Gay Cork. He became more involved in activism, becoming a volunteer with the Gay Project, UP Cork LGBT+ Youth Group, Cork LGBT+ Pride Festival, and with the Sexual Health Centre.

Konrad was awarded the title of Mr Gay Ireland in recognition of his voluntary work and activism among the LGBT+ community in Cork. He later went on to represent Ireland at the Mr Gay Europe competition in Sweden and Norway in the summer of 2016.

While studying in MTU (Munster Technological University) Cork, Konrad was Chairperson of the MTU Cork LGBT Society, winning multiple awards and initiating innovative campaigns including GSA (Gay/Straight or Gender/Sexuality Alliance) Project which supports the creation of LGBT+ groups in Irish secondary schools and the creation of the Dragging Up The Past exhibition and documentary sharing the rich history of drag in Cork.

Konrad is the Vice Chairperson, Events Coordinator and a Trustee for Cork LGBT+ Pride Festival. He volunteers as a leader with UP Cork LGBT+ Youth Group and the Gay Project. He works as the LGBTI+ Sexual Health Support Worker in the Sexual Health Centre providing support to LGBT+ people and offering LGBT+ Awareness capacity building workshops to community groups and professionals. He also volunteers with Ballyphehane/Togher CDP (Community Development Project), is a member of the Board of Management for Coláiste Daibhead, and established Ballyphehane Tidy Towns project.
