Konrad is a Cork gay activist and was Chairperson of the CIT LGBT Society.
Konrad Im won the title of Mr Gay Cork in 2015. He subsequently won the title of Mr Gay Ireland and represented Ireland at the Mr Gay Europe competition in Sweden and Norway in the summer of 2016.
