A photograph of Padraig Rice and Arthur Leahy at the Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee vigil in Bishop Lucey Park in Cork City on the 18th of April 2022. Padraig Rice is a LGBTQI+ community organiser and human rights activist. He moved to Cork in 2008 to study at UCC and became chairperson of the UCC LGBT Society, he has been an active member of Cork's LGBTQI+ community ever since. Arthur Leahy is a Cork gay and social change activist. He is a founding member of the Cork Gay Collective and was involved in organising the first Irish national Gay Conference. His collection forms the core of the Cork LGBT Archive. Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee were two gay men who were murdered in County Sligo in April 2022. In October 2023 Yousef Palani was sentenced to life in prison for the murders. The vigil was organised by Gay Project, LINC and Cork Pride.
