Arthur Leahy pictured in the crowd at the Aidan Moffitt And Michael Snee Vigil Cork. The vigil was held in Bishop Lucey Park, also known as The Peace Park, in Cork City on 18 April, 2022 in response to the deaths of two gay men in Sligo. Aiden Moffitt and Michael Snee were the two gay men who were murdered. In October 2023 Yousef Palani was sentenced to life in prison for the murders. The vigil was organised by Gay Project, LINC and Cork Pride. Arthur Leahy is a Cork gay and social change activist. He is a founding member of the Cork Gay Collective and was involved in organising the first Irish National Gay Conference. His collection forms the core of the Cork LGBT Archive.
