A group photograph of Kieran Rose, Trina Ni Ciardha (daughter of Prof Tadgh O'Ciardha, President of UCC 1978-1988), Frank [surname unknown], Sean "Hacket" Savage, and Bert Meaney at the Gay Sweatshop Theatre afterparty in Trina and Frank's flat in Cork, in 1980.
Gay Sweatshop was formed in London in 1975 and had its roots in the lunchtime theatre club "Ambience" held at the Almost Free theatre. In 1980 the london-based gay theatre group performed their play "Blood Green" in the Granary Theatre in Cork. This was one of the first events organised by the newly formed Cork Gay Collective.
