Newsheets for Cork AIDS Alliance. First newsheet is dated 22 February 1990. Second newsheet is dated 15 February 1990. Notes that the "U.C.C. AIDS Alliance has now been officially recognised by the Society's guild." Gratitude is expressed "to all who helped out with the 'Love Carefully' leaflets on Valentine's Day." Reminder to not forget Irish AIDS Day on 26th May. Third newsheet is dated 5 April 1990. Notes that much discussion was centred around the "Graffiti" play. Welcomes "Tom Hegarthy who will be joining the fold as Development worker on Wednesday 18 April." References a video which will be titled "Stories from the Silence". Mentions that "2 places have been booked for the NOVAH Conference in Birmingham 20th - 22nd April." Information about Voluntary AIDS Groups (Pages 1-4). Mentions Gay Health Action, Helpline (Dublin), Body Positive (a support group for people with HIV/AIDS), Irish Frontliners (a self-help support group for people affected by HIV/AIDS), Cairdre (a support/helping group for people affected by HIV/AIDS), Women+AIDS, Western AIDS Alliance, NOVAH (represented by Janet Rooney), AIDS Helpline Northern Ireland (Belfast), Irish Haemophilia Society, Ana Liffey Drug Project, Gay/Lesbian lines, AIDS Fund, Crisis Fund, Friends for Friends, Catholic Bishop's Task Force. Final page is entitled "AIDS - A Note About Language". Highlights the discrimination against anyone perceived to be at risk or infected by HIV/AIDS. "The language of AIDS is important, because the prejudice and discrimination against others are rooted in it." Suggestions on how to use language related to HIV/AIDS is provided.
