A photograph of the airport protest in 1984 against the visit of Vol Tsek Evans, a representative of the South African apartheid regime, who had come to speak at an event in Cork. The event was subsequently cancelled.
The Dunnes Stores anti apartheid strike was underway at the same time, where staff in the supermarket were refusing to handle South African goods in protest against the racist South African apartheid system.
