Siobhan O'Mahony she/her
Siobhan O’Mahony is a lesbian activist and butch dyke.
Siobhan was born in Manchester in 1975 and grew up in Fermoy, Co. Cork.
She was active in the Cork lesbian scene during her time living in the city from 2014 - 2019. She was an active volunteer in the Marriage Equality campaign in 2015, canvassing throughout the city with the YES Equality Cork volunteer group.
Siobhan was an enthusiastic member of the LINC Drama Group, contributing as a writer and actor to their Cork Arts Theatre productions of The L World (2017), Tales from the Queerside (2018) and Heroes, Hoes, Villains and Killin’s (2019).
Siobhan was a member of the Steering Group of LINC (Lesbian and Bisexual Community Centre) from 2016 until 2019.
Siobhan was wholeheartedly involved with the Cork lesbian community until she moved to Belfast in late 2019 for a new life with her partner Lindsey. Since her relocation North, she has found a new focus in archival activism, becoming a volunteer with the NI LGBT Heritage Project.
She is passionate about LGBT and social justice rights and positive lesbian visibility.
